There is nothing on the Stonebed that can puncture, tear, or fail: throw it on thorns, lava rock, or a shelter floor of questionable history and it just works. The accordion fold doubles as a sit pad at lunch and a splint or frame sheet in a pinch. Thru-hikers keep one lashed outside the pack for its sheer reliability.
