Description
The Bratt is the tool you want in hand when a slip on a steep snow slope threatens to become a slide: the steel pick is shaped to catch and hold during self-arrest, and the wide adze chops steps and tent platforms with ease. An aluminum shaft keeps carry weight sensible on long approaches, with a spike that plunges cleanly on moderate ground.

Practiced self-arrest drills all weekend. The pick catches instantly.

Well balanced. Leash sold separately, which felt stingy.
