Stretch the Halka’s rubber harness over any shoe and a web of hardened steel spikes turns frozen sidewalks, icy driveways, and glazed-over trails into ordinary ground. Runners and dog walkers keep them by the door all winter; hikers keep a pair in the pack for that one shaded, ice-slicked kilometer of trail. They pack down to fist size in the included pouch.
